heyya! yeah, sedar tak sedar almost finish the 4th semester. rasanya macam baru semalam daftar kat penang ni. hahaha. so, means that dah two years kot bertapa kat penang ni. weee~
I just finished my training at The Puteri Pacific Johor Bahru. yeahhh! I like it very much. alhamdulillah. walaupun pada mulanya penuh dengan pahit dan getir tp Allah memudahkan segala urusan. Alhamdulillah.
kitaorg sama tempat practical :) |
so, basically, I want to tell a story about my training life :D
sepanjang training, hotel didn't provide accommodation ye. therefore, I need to find out myself. this is the hardest part I guess. yeah! memang. hahaha. At last, dapatlah rumah sewa dekat Bukit Saujana. okay, berjiran dengan menteri besar kot. pui, jiran lah sangat :P then, I got to know my new house mate, Kak Sue, Kak Ari, Kak Nisa, Kak Jay and Kak Ummi. sewa mahal tp aku bersyukur sebab even mahal, housemate baik kot. sumpah baik sangat sangat. tak tau nak cakap baik macam mana. dah macam kakak sendiri. dorang care pasal kami. The best part, rasa macam terimbau balik zaman sekolah. you know why? sebab solat berjemaah, makan berjemaah, masak sama-sama. secara tak langsung, ukhwah bertambah erat dan I really love it :)
then, I went to work naik bus. everyday kerja. only one day Off. bayangkan, kerja penat tapi off day hanya sehari. Pergi kerja around 8.15. sampai nanti around 8.35 ke. ngam lah tu sebab punch card at least before 9. then, the working life begun.
almost 4 months I had been training here, what did I feel? one word, AWESOME! hahaha
why? for sure I had learnt many things here. kenal dengan macam macam manusia. belajar dengan dorang. ye, betul dorang kata, perjalanan hidup kau masih jauhhh. ni baru permulaan.
oh yeah, sini pekerjanya ramai lelaki. dan mereka semua dah blh dipanggil uncle rasanya tapi punya lah perasan muda, still panggil abang. hahaha. aku anggap dorang ni macam abah dan aku adalah anak mereka. paling tak boleh lupa, abang Aziz, Abg Azmi, Abg Pie, Abg Mamak, Abg As, Chef Rusli. mengajar aku buat tu buat ni. solve problems. yeah!
I still remember that Chef Hanafi (the culinary director) said, work as a family, then we know the different. kerja macam keluarga ni best kot. bukan sekadar kenal dengan kitchen crew je, dengan budak service, steward semua pun kenal jugak. apa yg blh aku katakan, mereka ni friendly. Yang tua dihormati. mak cik yang still bekerja tak panggil mak cik, panggil ibu atau mak. sweet kan? hahaha
working hours tak tentu. If there is event, I need to stay as a part timers. NVM la, still got pocket money. alhamdulillah. I ever experience 3 days straight event. that time I was training at Malay kitchen. malay kitchen ni penat dia takyah cakaplah. memang penat. masakan melayu ni bukan senang. 3 hari berturut balik pukul 11 malam, esoknya masuk pukul 8. then, bila off day, tidur tak ingat dunia kot. alhamdulillah tak demam. sihat je. hehehe. then, bila duk kat malay kitchen, baju memang tak sah kalau tak kotor. bila menumis, memang terpecik percik la. my mentor here was Abg Aziz. he was a great man. cakaplah masak apa, he knows well. lagi lagi kalau masak briyani. macam macam briyani dia boleh masak. and the most unforgettable thing, he called me "kecik". hahaha. kecik sangattt. Abg Din, Chef Azam, Abg Azhar also doing the same thing. kelakar.
My hero :D hahaha |
Chef Hanafi pesan, it was a good starter as a trainer. Need to improve more and more especially in presenting the food. Thank you chef! aku dah buktikan yang aku pun boleh masak! hahaha.
Now I realise, being in this course wasn't that easy especially for woman. kerja tak tentu masa, then kerja bukan ringan tau. berat. angkat barang berat berat. but NVM, I'll never give up. ni semua bukan penghalang. I plan to continue my degree after this. then, work at hotels and restaurants to gain experience. lastly, maybe pursue my Phd and run my own business. I need to work hard and smart from now to make my culinary dream came true. Yeahhh!
